Caramel Glazed Turtle Donuts

Dunkin Donuts Copycat Recipe

3/4 cup flour
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 tablespoons oil
1/3 cup caramel sundae sauce
2/3 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
chopped pecans for sprinkling over top

Sift into a large bowl: the flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk in the egg, milk, vanilla, and oil. Mix until smooth batter forms. Scrape batter into a large zip top bag. Snip a small corner off the bag and pipe the batter into a greased donut pan– filling each well about halfway full. Bake at 450 degrees for 7 to 9 minutes, until donuts spring back when pressed with finger. Let cool.

Meanwhile, whisk together the caramel sundae sauce, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Add 1 tablespoon of milk if it needs further thinning. Spoon caramel glaze over the cooled donuts and top with chopped pecans
